I am interested in buying an iPhone 4s since my current phone is ancient, but the plans seem insanely high. I'm currently paying around $30 a month on rogers. I have looked on all the main carriers websites (Bell, Telus, Rogers) and they require you to get a $50 or more plan in order to get the price reduction for the phone. I don't need a lot of data, and want a plan under $50. My friends say with the launch of previous iPhones, special plans were introduced. Is anything like this going to happen again, and if so, will the plans be under $50? Thanks.

They are not going to give the phones away for free! If you buy one on contract at a reduced price, you are actually paying for the phone over the next three years as a portion of your $50 ++ / month plan!!!
