I have an Ihone 4s from Etisalat , It has been constantly dropping calls and loosing network , i have taken it to them and they have replaced it for me and the problem still persists. The Battery drains quickly and it overheats.

IOS : 5.1(9B179)

Does anyone have the same problems ? Any solution for this ?

Please help ASAP

Al Nowais. I have experience the same problem an I believe the issue is with 3G. Because of Siri requires a broadband connection, thus the 4S tries to maintain a 3G data connection at all times. Given Etisalat's 3G data network sometimes weak, it will reset the network to get a a better connection (on older versions it would simply to EDGE). Try disabling the 3G in settings (while still keeping the cellular data on - which means you will be using EDGE network - and the problem should go away. This of course is not a long term solution, you options would be to revert to iOS 5.0 to fix the problem completely or wait for iOS 5.2 hoping Apple will fix this issue.

I'm also facing similar problem.

My 4S (ios 5.1) drops calls whenever "CELLULAR DATA" (3G/EDGE) is ON.
If I turn OFF "CELLULAR DATA" (3G/EDGE) then my calls are not dropped.

Is this a network problem? some sort of compatibility issue I guess.
Any solutions so far?
