iPhone 4S message receive sound bug

I have a 4S and whenever I receive a message I hear a buggy sound- I have "ding" selected, but I hear d-d-d-d-iing.

This happens while I am using the phone as well as when it is sitting on the lock screen.

Is there a known fix?

Happens to a relative's 4S as well and sometimes happens to me but when my phone is on vibrate so it goes

B-b-b-b-buzz-buzz

I have the exact same issue. It comes and goes though. Sometimes if I restart it it makes it stop. It can be kinda annoying.

Glad to hear it’s not happening to me alone.

I have actually tried restoring as new user (yep, these things really irritate me), and nothing.

It happens sometimes to me but when I restart the phone it fixes the bug.
