iPhone 4S Microphone

Hi there,

Just wondering, if you guys go into a quiet room and open up a voice memo do you get a lout of background noise? I get a constant "SHHHHHHHHH" noise whenever I'm not talking into the mic. Is this something wrong with my phone or is the microphone just really sensitive to the background noise.

Either it's normal or my 3GS, 4 and 4S have all been faulty.

Thank you for the reassurance. I called my friends and asked if they can hear any weird static noises and they've all said no.

Hmm, I think the wording "slight" is very subjective, but as long as there is a "shhh" sound, I'm not going crazy then.
