iPhone 4S music problem

Is anyone else having trouble with the iPod feature on the iPhone? The artists and bands aren't in alphabetical order.

I have some bands that start with a W that are under the letter Y and Z as well.

I'm not having that problem but, for some reason, the songs in my playlists are opposite of how I have them sorted in iTunes. In iTunes, they're sorted from newest to oldest, and on my phone, from oldest to newest -- so now my new songs are at the very bottom of my playlist. It's VERY annoying.
