They said 70 countries I believe by the end of the year. I'd wait till at least it came to some neighbor countries. You're likely to get a somewhat better price.

Not sure what service providers there are in NZ, but I'd think you'd at least need to wait till nov to get a unlocked. Should be plenty on eBay

Wait until rollout phase 3. I'm sure a site like Mobicity will have them soon anyway. You are going to have to wait a little bit though.
