Iphone 4s notifications - Yahoo mail

I have my iPhone set to pick up my yahoo mail through the mail app. How can I stop the notification showing on lock screen? I have already disabled the mail notification but they still show up
All help appreciated in advance

Settings>Notification>Mail>View in Lock Screen is set to off and it still shows up?

Yes it still shows up but not every day, it seems rather erratic but yes I can confirm that when setting as stated above is off I still get notifications on my Yahoo account but not on my other account
