Ok so I just bought an used iPhone 4S from a local shop and the previous owner probably never did a factory reset and so all his pics, SMS and contacts and Apps are still there.
The phone is on iOS 5.1.1 and is NOT Jialbroken. So how should I go ahead to reset everything in this iPhone to get it to stock.
PS: I do not wish to update to iOS 7 as f now so please suggest some risk free approach that will not update my iOS version.

Settings -- General -- Reset -- Reset All Settings and Content.

If he's logged in to iMessage and/or iTunes and App Store, log him out of both, first. Then perform the Reset All Content and Settings (if you're sure it's not jailbroken - otherwise this will be bad).

I do not see cydia icon anywhere so I am assuming no jailbreak is there.
I know doing the reset setting will screw things if it is jailbroken.
Any alternate ?
How much times does the reset all settings and content take usually ?
It is 16gb iPhone.

Did the reset and erase all, went fine and now jailbroken with Absinthe.
