The tariffs for Orange UK iPhones are terrible, the Panther tariff offers 1GB data with tethering as standard along with swapables and 900 minutes at £35pm. Which is £1 cheaper than the Orange iPhone tariff at 600 minutes, 500mp data and unlimited text.

Has anyone managed to swap, as technically there is no difference between an iPhone or a HTC?

Edit:

Well I have just changed to the Panther tariff, it's the same price except I now get 900 minutes with 1GB of data that can also be used towards tethering at no extra cost. I am very happy, they tried telling me it isn'y compatible but couldn't tell me why!

Do swappables work on the iPhone as C/S say it won't?

Are you sure tethering is offered at no extra cost by Orange? I recently upgraded to iPhone 4S at the max package I.e., iPhone 60 which gives 3000 minutes and 2gb data. Does it include free tethering?

Tethering is free on the Panther plans.

Has anyone got swapables to work on their iPhone? I've been trying for ages, even using the iCab browser to change the user agent, and try to fool the Orange site that I'm using an Android - no go. Really annoying as I want to use Deezer

I don't understand why people choose Orange - their deals are pretty uncompetitive.

I was in one of their shops last week and saw the iPhone 4s for £430 which is around £70 cheaper than everywhere else, but after looking at the offer, you have to purchase £120 of credit too !

Now I look in the shops today and its now on at £489.

Wonder how much negative feedback they got to remove this rather vague point of sale !

This is pay as you go deals.
