I have been trying to order a 4S with AT&T through the Apple Store site. I got a message that it is "reserved":

Dear Apple Customer,
Your iPhone has been reserved and your reservation number is: XXXXXXXXXX

We will email you at this address (XXXXXXXXXX) when it’s time to complete your order. At that time, you will return to the Apple Store to confirm pricing and plan selection.

You may check the status of your reservation at any time by visiting buyiphone.apple.com/status

Thank you,
The Apple Store Team

What does this mean exactly? I received another email telling me that I can complete my order, but I have not been able to get the site to work. If I wait until tomorrow to complete the order, will I still be in the same place "in line" to get the new iPhone?

I received two emails with the same message. Now trying to retrieve my reservation with that number. In the meantime, I just went to AT&T site and ordered the 4S with a new number. I'll deal with AY&T and getting my new iPhone on my existing plan with grandfathered unlimited data after I receive it.

Another headache for another day! But I have an order number from AT&T!
