I have mp4 720p video that when copied to the iPhone 4s plays fine,
but the same video copied to the i5 Air stutters?

Is that possible or a setup issue on the Air?

Suggestions?

^^ as implied above, the media player on the mac mini currently used probably doesn't support GPU decode for that media type.

The iPhone 4S has a dedicated ASIC in the A5 to handle media decode, too.

Though, it's mainly software that needs to enable support.

Now try playing a 1080p movie on vlc, or any other media player for that matter.

I got fed up with my 2010 generation macbook air 11 ultimate not being able to play 1080p files without stuttering, so I upgraded to the latest macbook air 11 ult with an i7 processor. So far so good!
