iPhone 4S Pre-order question thread

So I've been seeing multiple threads regarding the shipping date of their preordered iPhone 4S's, and that people were seeing their shipments being delayed a week.

Just needed some clarification here...

Is this just a system glitch for the large volume of preorders being filled out?

If your original shipping date was scheduled for 10/14, is it possible that it would be moved to the following week?

For people who have pre ordered previous iPhone generations, has this happened before? And did you receive your iPhone on the release date even if it was estimated to arrive later than expected?


Your answers are greatly appreciated and I'm sure that these will help people going through the same thing and reduce the number of duplicate threads.

If you would check the original thread regarding this issue, you would see that this issue is indeed resolved and dates are now back to 10/14 if that was your original shipping date.
