Hey guys,

I just wanted to know if there is a difference between black and white, as if there are more problems with one more than the other.

Anyone who could provide feedback, I'd appreciate it.

Cheers

it wont matter what color you get...you'll get a quality product.

I remember reading something about a problem with the sensor, but I don't remember if it was about the white or black color. That's why I asked, I know it's a quality product ;)

There was a rumor that one of the reasons for the lengthy delay on getting out the white iPhone was due to sensor issues, among other things (light leaking through the white-colored glass, color consistency, etc.). But the fact that the white models eventually got released pretty much suggests that they figured it out in the end.

There were also problems on some iPhone 4 models with the proximity sensors, but that was on the black version (there was no white at the time). Software updates fixed that.

Anyway, I have an iPhone 4 and haven't had any sensor issues with it.

Good to know. I've always gotten the black iphone, but have been thinking about getting the white one, but I feel the white version is too feminine.

Which do you prefer?

Oh, please don't turn this into another, "Black is for boys, white is for girls" thread. I've had a black one (3GS) and now a white one (4S), and I've liked them both. Get whichever one you like. White is not feminine. It's neutral, just like black.

Not my intention. I just always prefered black and was thinking of getting a white one, for a little change of pace.

Hopefully you will, but many issues with them as of today :(

I heard the 4S has been having lots of issues. Are many users experiencing the same thing?

No issues besides battery life at first but got better with use I had a 16gb white but wasn't enough so decided to get a 32 gb they didn't have a white one so I got black and no issues at all

That's what I want, the 32GB but here is on backorder. I would like to get a white one for a change of pace, but since the only scheduled color is black, I'll go for it.

Personally, there is no difference, it's just the color changes.

Both have equal chance of sharing the same problem.

Black: fingerprint visible, often have to clean (unless you get otterbox defender) then no cleaning required.

White: Pretty much the same as black but fingerprints are less visible on the white areas, but visible on the screen. One issue that White has is the black bordering around the screen if you turn your screen on but I personally don't care because I don't look at the borders when I used my phone.

2 questions:

1 - Is it normal for the home button to be a little harder to press than the iPhone 4?

2 - I had 3G on my upper left corner screen activated, but when I went to deactivate the 3G option, it only showed the option to turn on/off mobile data. Is it normal? On my iPhone 4 I had both options.

Cannot turn 3G off on the 4S. Not an option now as the antenna is different than in the 4.
