iPhone 4S screen flicker just started.

Just as I was thinking of getting a new phone and giving the 4S to someone, or using it as an iPod, the screen started flickering at a very fast rate. It's subtle but noticeable.

I'm in the process of doing a restore and back up.

A quick search turned up mostly people that had issues after replacing the screen.

Any other thoughts?

Did the restore process help?

My iPhone 5 did the same thing today. It started to flicker at a very high frequency. It was more noticeable in the corners of the display. Like you described it was subtle but noticeable. Within about 20 minutes it started to go back to normal. Weird and scary.
