iPhone 4S Screen - Is it really the same?

So every review states that the phone is using the exact same retina display as the iPhone 4 but in most of the video reviews I have watched comparing the two, it looks like the iPhone 4S screen has much deeper blacks and overall sharper and better colors.

Is it just me?
