I received my new iPhone 4S White today. Just out of interest I opened the camera on both my old 4 and new 4S and pointed to the same area as if to take a photo.

The colour on the 4S was quite different to the 4.

I could mainly see this when looking at the carpet, which is a kind of pink colour. On my old 4 it looked the same as with your eyes, whereas on the 4S it looked greyer.

I didn't have a chance to take a photo with both and the 4 is now gone so I was wondering weather this is a screen difference or weather the colours through the camera a very different?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

I could, maybe tomorrow. Don't want to take it out the wrapping though. Could stick it back down I guess.

Wait, so you didn't even take the wrapping off which covers the lens, and you're worried about the white balance being different??

Good point.
Was your home button hard to press? No wonder why either, just peel the plastic off:rolleyes:

I read it as:

OP had iphone 4
got iphone 4s
compared what camera looks like on-screen for both.
4 had home button problem.
sent 4 back.
got new 4 but doesn't want to set it up due to sale/passing down.

You got that correct. Thread can get confused down the line heh.

I have taken another photo. Just reset and wiped the new iPhone 4 afterwards.

Looking back I think the iPhone 4S is more true colour wise, but I guess this could change with what you are photographing, light and weather you are in doors or outdoors. (but we all know this)
