iPhone 4S screen won't come on

My wife's phone screen is off but you can't still hear the tones and vibration. I plugged it into my Mac and it recognized it. I tried doing a restore and doing a reset but the screen won't come on. Any idea what it could be?

If you've restored the phone, there is most likely a hardware issue. Are you close to an Apple store? They can take a look at it and give you a replacement/repair cost. Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll cover it even though it's out of warranty.

Thanks for the response. Guess I will head to the Apple store. It is out of warranty. Hopefully they are in the Xmas spirit and replace it for free.
