My phone has always shut off when the battery level reached about 1% but nowadays I'm noticing it shutting off later and later. Last week when my meter hit 7% the phone shut off, and just now it shut off at 11%. Anyone else notice this or know what's going on?

Mine does the same - iP4S Verizon, 6.1.3 as well. This happened to me on my cab ride from the airport to my hotel in the Philippines and I was none too pleased. I'm assuming it's incorrect calibration on the battery life.

My 5 does this from time to time. Sometimes it goes down to 1% and last a lot before shutting down. And sometimes it shutdowns at 5, 7 or 9%.
Non jailbroken, iOS 6.1.4 but it does it since 6.1 I believe.

Might be worth calibrating the battery. Run the battery down until the phone shuts off completely, and then charge the battery fully to complete a full cycle. Worth doing this once a month.

My 5 has been doing this but only after jail breaking. I just chalked it up to that. Installed battery doctor pro recently and will try calibrating it again soon to see if I see a change.
