allright people does anyone have any ideas if we will recieve the iphone 4s software that works on a normal iphone 4 ?
as some of the features would be pretty cool to have instead of buying a iphone 4s

The only feature I'm aware of that is exclusive to iPhone 4S is "Siri" (the new voice control). And no, it will not be brought to the iPhone 4.

Everything else is available to both iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

so i can get the basic software the thing im wanting is the option to take a picture from the lock screen ?

ohh so ios 5 will be available for iphone 4's ? obviously a reduced version of the iphone 4s version ?

This definitely works with an iphone4 on iOS5 GM. As does snapping the pic using the VolumeUp hard button.

iOS 5 is fully functional for the iPhone 4. the only thing that isn't on it that's for the 4S only is Siri, which is not specifically an iOS5 feature, more of a 4S feature.

Yeah but aint siri an application dependant and not a hardware dependant option.

ie : siri could work on the iPhone 4.

here come the hackers !!

nope, it's hardware dependant.

also the creators of Siri said that the only reason the app worked on the iPhone 4 was due to them taking shortcuts and that and it needed better hardware to function properly.

Developers who have been using Siri on their iPhone 4 have reported no issues or reduced operation of Siri.

Internet chatter supports that hackers are on the case now !

I'm more prone to think it's apple now disabling the Siri app on developers before the general release of the 4s and iOS 5 to push people to upgrade.

Lol so you're disregarding the fact that the creators of Siri have actually said themselves that they had to make shortcuts to make it work?

Plus other people on this forum have said there were problems with the app....
