So I sold my 16gb iPhone 4S and wiped everything off my iPhone. But I still see it on my ipad but can't located I guess. Do I need to erase manually ?

I would try to wipe it, to see what happens. If you want to be safe always restore and send it fresh with no backup.
 
Just manually delete that one from your Find My iPhone list. I had to do the same thing when I returned mine to the Apple Store.

OP i believe there should be an option to take that idevice off your account iirc.
 
You might have to do it on the web site on a computer.

If you bring up that exact same view on a computer there will be a little 'x' in the highlighted part you can click.

I dunno...I guess they didn't add that to the iPad app?

This is true. You must remove a device from icloud.com.
 
You can remote wipe it and then it will ask you to remove from the list. Select yes.
Since the device is restored and your icloud id is not setup on it it will not actually wipe the buyers new iphone it will just give you the option to not have it listed there any more.
 
Oh ok thanks for the tip guys I thought after resetting the device it was gonna be gone thanks i ma erase it from iCloud then
