Hello guys,

I'm so happy that I got my new iPhone 4S today... yesssss... it's awsome..

Well, the thing is.. after uploading my music, photos and apps I end up with 7.3GB of space. Is this enough for video recording and photos?...

If you are going to take the occasional picture and some 30 sec - 1 min video yes
If you are going to take all your vacation pictures and tape your kids birthday with it
no

Not sure what sort of answer you're expecting. It's enough for 7.3GB of photos and videos. Photos and videos are not fixed in size so what you can get with 7.3GB really depends on the specific photos and videos you intend to store on your device. What you can do is look up the data rate of videos on the 4s to give you some idea of how much time you'll be able to store.

I think the OP's question is legit... I was actually pretty surprised the first time I was taking video and it said "out of space" or whatever... I never had any music on my android phone (that's just asking for trouble) and not being a photog, I wasn't sure how much space these quality pics/vids took up. I try to carry 1.5-2GB now for my OCCASIONAL pic/vid taking.

Moral of the story... my next iPhone is going to be 32GB or more... OP, 7GB is just fine. I would suggest doing this:

-- Write down exactly how much space you have.
-- Go into the camera, take a 30 second to 1 min. video (of anything).
-- Go back in and see how much space is left (so you can calculate how much a 30-60 second video takes)
-- Now go in and take 10 random pics.
-- Go back and note the space used.

You see where I'm going with this. The process outlined above is going to be the best way for you to determine if 7.xx GB is going to be enough for your purposes.

I hope this helps.

If you want to take 7.29GB of Video you'll be fine

If you want to take 7.31GB of Video you'll not be fine
