iPhone 4s speaker better than 4?

Just got the IPhone 4, not the 4s. Had an older Blackberry which had a great speaker. Very disappointed in the quality of sound, very low and somewhat muffled. All settings correct. Wondering if 4s speaker quality was any better, could upgrade. Saw utube video on comparison which showed 4s a bit louder than IPhone 4.

It's a lot louder than all previous iPhones.

I will agee, it is much louder to the point of distortion I have found if cranked up all the way in some cases.
