iPhone 4s Speakers

My right speakers only work. when I cover the right one, I can barely hear anything coming out of the left one. Is this normal? I have a speck candy shell case if it makes any difference.

the left one is not a speaker but a microphone.

you actually can not hear anything out of one of the "speakers" One is a mic and the other is a speaker

This is normal. See image, found from Apple's website.... The left one is a microphone, other one is the speaker.

When i first got my iPhone3G I thought the same too. Logically you would think just by looking at it that there are two speakers on the bottom like a headphone or something, but its not.

The iPhones have never had stereo speakers only a mono one. One side is a speaker and the other side is a microphone.
