It is not the router - as no other device is dropping at my house or my mums & this issue is happening at both houses.

Basically last Thursday/Friday, my phone wouldn't connect to the WiFi at my mums house. I got to my house & same problem. It'd connect, then it wouldn't, then it'd continue this cycle. Then it'd connect for a while, then it'd drop.

As time passes by & we get to today it barely will connect & when it is connected it doesn't work & doesn't stay connected for long.

I'm not really wanting to end up buying a new phone.

I've turned the phone off & on but this didn't fix it.

Why has it randomly started doing it & can it be fixed?

Try a restore to see if it's a software issue. If the issue continues after that then your wifi chips gone bad.
