Pls post your user experience with IPHONE 4S with the last IOS (now IOS 9)

It s useful to understand how it performs and ponder on upgrades.

I wouldn't go so far as to say flawlessly, but apart from the occasional app crash (gmail mostly) and the inability of multitasking with specific apps, everything else runs pretty smooth.
4S on 9.2.1

Are you going to upgrade this year?

ATM i have both [Iphone 4s] and [IPad 2] with the same processor, the same os and the same performance.

In my experience, the only real problem with these old devices is:

You can t switch between tabs without reloading it. (lack of RAM )

I hate Iphone 6 and 6s aesthetics, (and 5/5s is a little ugly too) and it s the main reason i' m still using 4s.

so if IPhone 7 is going to be beautiful as 4 was at his time, i m 100% going to buy it.

ATM i only like Samsung EDGE as design, but i want ios :)

I have similar thoughts about the iPhone design. It's clear that the iPhone 4 absolutely destroyed every other phone in terms of design (and other aspects, but that's another story). The iPhone 5 was the thinnest smartphone at the time (while being lighter than the iPhone 4), yet the design wasn't as revolutionary. Keeping the iPhone 4 design paradigm was understandable.

When the iPhone 6 was unveiled, people were complaining about the ugly antenna lines. Perfectly reasonable argument, but at the same time, other phones caught-up to Apple's design.

So in the end, I agree, the iPhone 7 has to keep things interesting. The iPhone is no longer the obvious best-looking smartphone out there.

i've beaten my software concerns to death on here, so i'm just letting that one go.

i will agree with you that i love the 4S design. :)

my bet (based on the scant rumours so far) is that the 7 will be an evolution on the 6 series curved design language in the same way that the 5 was an evolution on the 4 series hard edges.

I found iOS 9 ran fine on the 4s and I preferred it to iOS 8.

I have a friend at Apple who uses his 4s to this day and loves it. For many same reasons as you, OP

He'll probably stick with the 4s for a very, very long time and he loves it. He has had no issues on iOS 9 and in his words it's fast enough for his needs.
