iphone 4s trade-in at apple

does anyone know if the values of trade-ins have dropped since the announcement at the apple store? i was looking to trade in my wife's 16gb white 4s and get her the new 5s with the credit.

i know i can get more for it at other places but i was going to line up for the 5s anyhow so figured i can take care of both at the same time.

I got $181 for a 32GB 4S that was water-damaged but that was via mail-in.

In-store pays less than mail-in and they're more restrictive, i.e. won't accept water-damaged.

It's two different programs run by two different vendors.

I talked to a guy at the Apple store yesterday. He said a 16gb 4s in perfect condition he has seen $160 be offered. Of course he said this was an estimate, and not a true value, etc.. But it was at least a benchmark.

Mileage may vary other places. This was at the Polaris Apple store in Columbus Ohio.
