Hey everyone, I've seen some people's posts regarding the iPhone 4S feeling warmer on the right side of the phone (Where the A5 Processor Chip is)

I'm wondering, how many of you are experiencing this? And, is this a problem?

Thank you!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

I just posted a similar thread. My 4S is very warm! My iP4 never got this warm. It isn't hot, but warm enough to know it is drawing power from the battery for something. My battery life is a bit better than half of what my iP4 was!

do you have poor battery life as well?

After one full calibration my battery lasted 6 hours on 3G.. just to ensure maximal battery potential i did a restore today and will test out my battery again tomorrow. My phone has gotten warm from time to time though, which scared me a little lol

These days more and more powerful components are being packed into smaller and smaller devices. Isn't the iPhone's processor a dual core 1Ghz or something? Well, 5 years ago iMacs had dual core 1Ghz processors ;)

right here.

My phone heats up big time. Sometimes it becomes so hot that it's uncomfortable to hold. And my battery life drains in a few minutes, from 99% to 91%.

There's definitely something up, but i think the 1st batch might've had a few bad ones. So we'll have to wait for a replacement or anything.

On day one my 4S got really warm. Two reasons:

1. It was doing an icloud backup over wifi
2. It had way too many location services

Has not gotten warm since as I stopped the icloud and many location service options.

I also did not have great performance over WIFI so I reset my microcell and the network setting on the phone. No problems since.
