I have an iPhone 4s that was dropped while in a case, and the screen went faulty but did not crack in any way. It just shows blue lines. Everything else appears to still work.

This phone has a miniscule crack on the back glass from a while ago (<1cm on the the corner).

I'm curious on opinions. Should I take this into the genius bar and see if they will replace it? Or should I just accept the fact that it was dropped and have the screen replaced.

You dropped it. If you want coverage due to accidental damage then purchase that coverage.

If you say nothing they will replace it under warranty. If they detect outside dents, etc. that appears it has been dropped, they may still replace it for free depending on whatever the Genius decides to do. Karma is a bitch thought.
