Iphone 4s worked last night now it doesn't now

hi all,
last night my Iphone worked and i wake up this morning to check the time and now it doesn't wont charge even though it was fully charged last night also it wont register that it is there in my laptop that its there, can you help me find out what is wrong with it before I take it to apple and rip there heads off politely

Secondly, punctuate. Commas, full stops are free to use; colons and semi colons are also welcomed, if used appropriately.

Thirdly, I have had this problem with my iPad, and holding the lock-screen button and the home button simultaneously for around 30 seconds tends to do the trick.
