iPhone 5, 10/4/11 announcement

I heard it on the local radio station this morning at 7:30 as part of the news every hour. I listen to Mix 94.7 in Austin and it was during Sara's 4 things you need to know. The first one was that Apple will be announcing the iPhone 5 on October 4th and they will be saying how great it will be. Well I emailed the radio station and asked for the link they got their news from. When I clicked on the link (around 10:20 am), I was presented with an error. They most likely removed the link from the web for some reason. Anyway, seems that 10/4 will be the day. Now this appears to just be an announcement, not the actual release for sale. Not sure what you can do with it, but here is the link I was given by the radio station.

October 5th makes more sense, iOS 5, iPhone 5. Either way it's only a day difference.
 
I'm so freakin pumped for this. Honestly, I just want to see it and know when I can preorder. Sooooooo tired of waiting :eek:

Well, I wish this meant something concrete, but unfortunately there is no way that a news report from the JB and Sandy morning show is going to have inside information. They are only reporting on other reports that have been made. They have heard the same things we have and are just reporting what is expected. So nothing is concrete until Apple says so.
