Bought a bad esn iPhone 5 on sprint online to use as an iPod touch. When i erased all content and settings it started asking me for a sim and wont let me go past the setup screen. Is their anyway to activate without a sim? Do i have to purchase a sim card just to get the phone started and allow me to get access again. Does it have to be a sprint sim or can it be for any carrier ?

You cannot activate it without a sim.
