iPhone 5 Activation

I'll be receiving my iPhone 5 tomorrow and I just have a quick question.

I already know what to do when I first boot up the phone. I currently have a slide phone with NO data. Is there a process I have to go through to activate the data? Do I have to call AT&T or anything like that?

Yes, you will have to call AT&T to add an iphone data plan to your account in order to get carrier data.
And you will need a nanosim. The sim from your slide phone wont fit in the i5.
Did you preorder from AT&T or Apple and did you already pick the data plan you want?
Not sure extractly how are you getting your phone and what's going on with your account and if its a preorder tied up to your phone number and billing already.
