Carriers here in Toronto all suck, except the ones offering AWS-based services.

I haven't seen any rumors on this one way or the other: any speculation on whether the 5 will offer AWS frequencies?
 
I guess like usual it'll be a wait and see approach. And if tmobile isn't on board for the next iPhone officially then I'd say 0 chance of getting 3G AWS.

Btw, wind and mobilicity suck just as bad as the rest :)

Yeah, been like that as long as I can remember. It wasn't too bad though in the past, for several years, although on a 3 year contract you could get manage to get a subsidized smartphone upgrade every year or so from a company like Rogers. But its all changed since then, and several carriers are more transparent with the device subsidy (eg, $500 discount split over 36 month term).

But there's been a lot of good change since wind and mobilicity started up.
