In a van down by the river
Earlier today, my iPhone 5 felt a little warm so I reset all settings. I then entered the pertinent information again and didn't think anything of it until this evening, when I tried to do a mail handoff between the iPhone and the iPad Air. After several attempts with no success, I looked at the ipad and phone and noticed that they weren't connecting via bluetooth as they had done without any problems before. I also noticed that the option to forget device was greyed out on both devices, thus preventing them from connecting. I even tried setting up as new devices with clean installs, and same problem.

In looking online, i noticed a few people had this same problem during the beta builds. I put iOS 7 on both devices and updated to iOS 8 and neither device can see the other, and the option to forget the device is still greyed out.

The iPhone connects fine to my car and the iPad Air makes a brief connection to my late 2011 MBP before disconnecting.

Any suggestions?

Edited to add: After another install, whatever bug that was clogging up the works was pushed through the pipe just now.
