Is it possible based upon previous history, to try and plot the battery life and talk time of the next iPhone?

Maybe...

iPhone First Gen - 3.7 V, 1400 mAh (8 hours of talk, 6 hours Internet)

iPhone 3G - 3.7 V, 1150 mAh (5 hours talk, 6 hours internet)

iPhone 3GS - 3.7 V, 1219 mAh (5 hours talk, 5 hours internet)

iPhone 4 - 3.7 V, 1420 mAh (7 hours talk, 6 hours internet)

iPhone 4S - 3.7 V, 1,430 mAh (8 hours talk, 6 hours internet)

iPhone "5" - 3.8 V, 1440 mAh...

Given the history and what has done with small batteries, I am guessing 7 hours of talk time and 6 hours of 3G/HSPA+ internet, and 5 hours of LTE internet use.

How would it be possible? The next iPhones battery size is not even known.

Until the reveal happens, leaks and speculation is all we've got...in keeping the namesake of the very forum this is posted on (Macrumors), I don't think there has been any breach of etiquette.
