iPhone 5 black screen and strange camera

I purchased an iPhone 5 which the seller said only the screen would be defect, its not cracked or anything. Just black.

Replacement screen does not work. Every time I press the power button it makes a sound that its taking a picture. Any idea what it could be? The phone looks great on the inside and outside.

Tried restoring it a couple of times.

When I put a strong flashlight against the screen, I can actually see something. But replacement scree does still not work on unit. It also continues to take a print screen everytime I click the power button

An iphone will take a print screen by holding down the home button and the power button at the same time.

It sounds to me like possibly the power button or something related to the power button is causing the issue.
