iPhone 5 bluetooth not discovering other iPhone5

me and my friend try to test bluetooth on iphone 5 keeping both phones side by side its not discovering other devices.

but yes we have dual band wifi ( 2.4GHz and 5GHz) in home, but are guys facing same issue?

If I recall correctly Bluetooth doesn't work directly between iOS devices? It's primarily for using things like Bluetooth keyboards, headphones and head sets.
