So I bought an iPhone 5 on a two year contract way back when. But if I don't pay my bill will they blacklist the phone or does blacklisting only apply to if you stop paying while on contract or nowadays not paying on an installment plan? Thanks.

Are you implying you want to stop paying your bill and just sell the phone, or am I reading this wrong?

No. no intention on selling or giving it away. Just confused as how blacklisting works. I used to do contracts but now pay full price. If I was to not pay my bill on the line my iPhone 5 is on can they blacklist the phone or just cancel my line? Thanks.

Why not just cancel? If you own the phone outright I don’t see how they can blacklist it, since it’s your property and you don’t owe them anything. If you plan to just stop paying your bill, it will affect your credit. You can’t just walk away from a debt.

No. like I said I was confused about if and when they can blacklist a phone. I know with none payment of installment plans they can blacklist it but I wasn't sure about out of contract phones like my iPhone 5. I have every intention of paying my bill as with my Verizon sprint and T-Mobile lines.

I’m confused why you even made this thread then?
