iPhone 5 Camera Died!

My iPhone 5's camera flickered and then froze with half of the screen turning purple. then the next time I tried to launch the camera app, the camera hung at the closed iris for like 20 seconds. Finally it would go to a black blank screen, as if I covered up the lens.

Damn.

No, its dead. Fresh install of the os and still nothing. It's dead :/
