... the Xfinity login page (walled garden login) just times out. iPad on iOS6 can because it's already been restored from a backup so the settings are loaded. Tried several Cablevision hotspots and I was successful in logging in. Anyone here having the same issues with their iPhone5's?

I'm on my 2nd iPhone 5 and both exhibited the same problem. I've reset the network settings multiples times, turned off BT, toggled Airplane mode and even restored the iOS 6 from iTunes (as suggested by Apple support), but I'm still stuck on the Xfinity log in page until it timesout. Lucky for you, I'm also unable to connect to any Optimum online hotspots as well.

Funny thing is I also have 3 4s on my account. 1 a little over a yr old, 1 13 days old which came with iOS5 and the last 2 days old that came loaded with iOS6. The 2 that were upgraded to iOS6 works fine when connecting to any Xfinity hotspot; however, the 2 day old 4s behaves just like mine iPhone 5

The Apple rep will follow up with me later, but I highly doubt he will be able to do any thing about it for now. Oh well I guess onto my 3rd unless he admits that its a bug of some sort and I will have to wait it out.

Also should mention that I have a buddy at work who has a 64GB iP5 unit and he too is unable to connect to a Xfinity hotspot.

I spoke to a Comcast rep and they told me that their system is not compatible yet with the iPhone5. My 4S and iPad3 on iOS6 all can connect to Xfinity wifi, just the iPhone5 won't. I guess, Comcast needs to update their walled-garden page thru Apple.

I remember people having trouble with the Apple walled-garden page popping up when connecting to any wifi when iOS6 was launched.

I also tried Optimum Wifi next town which don't work at all. When I'm at work (30 miles away), I was able to connect to the Optimum Wifi Hotspot.

zzoom, I am having the same problem connecting to Comcast WiFi Hotspots with my iPhone 5. Did they tell you when they expect to correct the problem?

they didnt give me a timeframe but all they said was iPhone5 is not compatible with their login system yet so we'll see. they told me they'll email me once they've fixed it.

Thanks, zzoom. Keep us posted if you hear anything . I have e-mailed Comcast. Will let you know if I receive a response.

It seems Xfinity has made changes as I'm now able to login effortlessly. The only that's different is the login page.

I'll try the Optimum hotspot later to see if the connectivity issue is resolved there as well.

I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread. I couldn't log in to an xfinity hotspot where I normally can, thinking the location was down. But more likely it was because I'm now using an iPhone 5 whereas last time I was there was with my old phone.

Hopefully xfinity/Comcast pushes out the fix to every location quickly...

I'm in the DE area if it helps. I confirmed that I am able to connect to Optimum Online and TWCWIFI as well

Northern NJ... Login page has changed and I'm now able to login without a hitch. Seems like Apple and Comcast fixed the issue fast!
