Recently my iPhone 5 seems to intermittently stop charging even though the connection to the cable seems solid - This happens using both a USB connection to a PC and to a wall adapter.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I've tried several different cables (all official) with similar results

Had a similar problem. Check the lightning port. Most likely you need to clean it. It's a magnet for lint and dust.

Well further to this I did give it a clean out and it worked for a little while but now the whole thing has packed in no matter what I try my phone won't charge :(

Will have to send it in, funnily enough the same happened to my iPhone 4! I seem to have a habit of breaking the charging port on iPhones!
