iPhone 5 Charging Issue

Recently my iPhone 5 seems to intermittently stop charging even though the connection to the cable seems solid - This happens using both a USB connection to a PC and to a wall adapter.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I've tried several different cables (all official) with similar results

Had a similar problem. Check the lightning port. Most likely you need to clean it. It's a magnet for lint and dust.

Clean the lightning port and it should start charging

Yes it is defiantly the lightning port. Most likely lint stuck in it.

Well further to this I did give it a clean out and it worked for a little while but now the whole thing has packed in no matter what I try my phone won't charge

Will have to send it in, funnily enough the same happened to my iPhone 4! I seem to have a habit of breaking the charging port on iPhones!

Do you have any cotton wool buds or a PC keyboard vacuum? That might remove whatever is stuck in there...

If you have an apple store near you, you can go and ask them to clean it out.
