^this is not even confirmed yet. Oct 4 is just a rumor. Apple has said nothing. And until they do, I'm not marking any calendars.

If you read the OP, you'd see he said "who thinks the iPhone 5 will come out in October?"
 
Event: October 4
Pre-order: October 7
In-store sale: October 14

Pretty sure that's the schedule. There are no other dates left that would make more logical sense.

Like batting1000 said the question was who thinks so that is what I think :p

I know its only a rumour.

I agree. I add more to the calendar I think we will see iOS5 GM on the 4th and the release around the 7th as well.

The 3GS was available to preorder on June 8 and was released the 19th. The iPhone 4 preorders started on June 15 and the phone was released on the 24th. So, about a week and a half.

Everything above except preorders on the 7th, and release on the 14th like the rumors are suggesting. :cool:
 
I wonder how many people will come one here and complain that Apple didn't send out invites on the 27th.

Don't be silly, they won't do that... well not to this thread, instead there'll be 2 or 3 new threads about it, one at 9am Cupertino time saying "it's 9am, where's the invites" then one later saying "it's lunch time, where's the invites" thhen one after midnight saying "apple lied about there being an event on the 27th" even though apple never said anything.... :rolleyes: :D ;)

Earnings call is on October 18, therefore your prediction is flawed.
