As the title says. Once it switches to 4g, sometimes it will switch back to LTE, other times it wont switch back unless I turn the LTE switch off and on. Common problem? Anyone know of a fix?

I am on AT&T.

Edit: and my first iPhone 5, which was replaced yesterday, had the same problem. Im beginning to think its a network problem.

Okay dumb question - what's the difference? I always thought the terms were interchangeable.

When it says 4g on the iPhone 5, it is on the HSPA+ network. The reason it says 4g is because testing has shown HSPA+ is capable of hitting 4g speeds. When it says LTE it is actually on the 4g network. Although HSPA+, at times, can hig LTE/4g speeds, the general consensus is that LTE is much faster.
