iPhone 5 contact/caller id photo size

just found out that when I add my contacts through macbookpro
"contacts book", all the photo appear to be full screen instead of the thumbnail size at the top right corner when someone called or you called someone . I wanted the thumbnail size...

Anyone knows how to fix this?
