Hi, Can anyone give a hint as to why a US 16 GB iPhone 5 is US $199
but is US $875 in New Zealand. That is 4.39 times the US price!
The only difference is that NZ phones are unlocked.

The $199 price is with a two-year contract and is only available to customers who are new to the carrier in question or eligible for an upgrade (roughly 20 months).

An off-contract phone will run you at least $650.
