Hi,

I'm getting pretty frustrated with the 2g and Edge speeds on my iPhone 5, seems to be a lot worse than my iPhone 4S.

I'm not sure if this is Vodafone or something Apple have done to the iPhone 5

Basically, if I'm on 2g or Edge, I can't even complete a simple Google search or get Twitter updates. It's 3G or nothing data wise.

Is anyone else having similar problems?

Here are my speeds: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1349776032.392389.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1349776043.836758.jpg

Not specifically iphone 5 (as I gave up on Voda before getting it) but I did notice exactly the same previously. With my i4, Samsung S2 and a broadband dongle 3G speeds were barely adequate and a drop to 2G (I don't think Voda have Edge, I never saw an E symbol on dropping 3G) renders the data connection virtually unusable.

From the screenshots I would say Vodafone is not the choice for you as your signal is very weak, if however it was better on a different phone I suggest resetting your Network settings.

Probably not much use, but my 3G speeds have improved 2-2.5x over my 4s on O2 in the same location (my garden!)

I left Vodafone for this reason.

The 3G network is crap compared to other networks, and 2G is a waste of time for data.

2G coverage is great, but useless

I left Vodafone as soon as I could due to this. My iPhone 4S was just unusable in central London sometimes.

On 3 now for my iPhone 5 and much happier.

i was seeing this same exact issue on at&t, so i dumped them for verizon. apparently other friends of mine noticed this too and are leaving them as well. the network has gone to crap since the iphone 5 rollout.

I've been with VF for years but recently call quality and data speed has been poor particularly in cities. I've moved to Three where it's much better generally. They used to be much better.
