I think the sweet spot for an iOS device and updates is 2 years. Meaning if an iPhone releases with iOS 6, don't update past iOS 8. Otherwise you will have major lag such as an iPad 2 trying to run iOS 8.

Does anyone think the A6 will be able to handle iOS 9? Should I keep it on iOS 8? Please keep in mind that I will still have the latest and greatest on my iPhone 6, but I am keeping my iPhone 5 as a backup phone or if I have to travel internationally since it is unlocked.

Just not sure if iOS 9 will cause it to stutter like an old iPad.
