iPhone 5 Display size??

Has there been any word on the screen size for the iPhone 5?? Love my iPad, iTouch & ATV but they lost me when the iPhone 4 display didn't change.. When it comes to my phone I am hoping the iPhone 5 has at least a 4" display, I went with a WP7 phone in January when I saw the iPhone 4 kept the same size display, my present phone has a great 4" AMOLED display BUT I still rather have an iPhone lol... You may not think there is much of a difference but there is, especially for these old eyes :)
 
Nothing concrete.

Rumours about of it being the same 3.5 inch display all the way to 4in. Sucks, but that's really all we know.

My money is on the larger screen though, personally.

Last solid rumor that I head was that it was 3.5 inch but will be able to unfold to 3.5 feet for watching movies
 
I can see them maybe moving to 3.7. With all the recent frame possible leaks...doesn't look like it will be anything close to 4.

Haha, agreed!! 4" display is not sounding very promising from the replies here.. If you look at non iPhone sales (Android & WP7) larger, brighter qnd more vivid displays are up bigtime, seems to me to be the trend, especially with phones like the Galaxy S2 which will be released around the same time with a 4.3" Super AMOLED display..

The Galaxy S 2 has been out for a while now...

Rumor, question #3,867 with about 184 in the last week. Doesn't anybody read the FRONT PAGE of MacRumors? this is discussed over and over and over
 
The iPhone 5 screen size will be 3.8 inches at the very least. There is no doubt about it in my opinion. The design will fit the case on the right

If you are correct, I bet that sales are down tremendously from iPhone 4. 3.5" is OUT. Apple cannot expect their next flagship device (which is going to be their only device for at least the next 12 months) to hang in there with everything that is coming out around it. iPhone 4 is holding it's own, but that isn't going to last. Personally, I think iPhone 5 will have 3.7" of screen real-estate. Which I think will satisfy a lot more people...But I am hoping for 4"..Which I think is the perfect size. My wife however, thinks 4" is terrible ;).

Agreed, 3.7" is just not enough of a jump.. Maybe release two versions a 3.5" & 4"?? I've been using a 4" AMOLED for 8 months now and honestly going smaller will never happen, once your get used to that real estate going back is just out of the question.. 4.3" for me would be my sweet spot :)
 
3.7" is not going to satisfy a lot of people. 4" will.

A 4" retina display would be heaven.
 
Personally, I'm really hoping that they increase the screen size to at least 3.7".

But it doesn't really matter exactly what the final size will be... Apple will find a way to make the iPhone 5 more than appealing, be it 3.7" or 4". :)

Nope. Nobody knows except for Apple. You'll just have to wait like the rest of us. :rolleyes:
 
3.7" is hardly worth the bother, but I'll take it. Still going to look pretty pathetic next to every other hi-end smartphone out there.
