I was just looking up rumours for the iPad Mini and was wondering if the iPhone 5 uses an IGZO display.

Nope. LTPS. Igzo might make it to the next gen iPad. Surprised if it makes it to the mini iPad as that one will have lower PPI so really won't need Igzo. Higher res displays will benefit more from Igzo. Mini iPad should have in cell touch which will be more beneficial than Igzo to performance.
