Iphone 5 flash problems with camera

All the photos i take gets dark when i use flash. The flash is bot in sync with the camera. If i restart the phone it will work great for some time but it will do the same thing later.

Is this a hw or software problem? Should i return it?

Lots of people with the same issue. Likely to be software so hold on to it and wait for a s/w update

Same. Have to reboot to fix it. Hopefully it's addressed in iOS 6.1

Update 6.0.1 (available today) addresses some camera issues.
